Performance art, to me, has always been such a strange concept. Naturally, it is a very conceptual thing, and requires time for the body to execute. Sometimes, it really is beautiful and aesthetic, other times it just looks like really awkward theatre blocking, leaving a permanent furrowed brow on my face.

There are different ways to do performance art, and the ones that we all know are things like theatre, musical production, concerts, mimes, circus work, live paintings, improv, flash mobs or recitals. Another way to look at the idea of performance art is doing anything outside natural and impulsive action in everyday life, therefore anything premeditated can be considered a performance.

That’s entirely conceptual, though.

Now, this type of performance in this video called Architectural Dialogue, it’s a bit more obscure. Take a look and make up your own opinion about what contemporary artists are calling a standard for performance art.

You guys asked for it, and here it is. Keep in mind that this is the state I turned it in at - unedited, FULL of writing and grammer errors because I didn’t proof read. Then again, it was like, 7am when I finished, so proof reading was out of the question for me.

I’m putting this out there because people asked for it, but I am, by no means, 10000% proud of this. There are a lot of things I need to work out, but for my first comic, at the very least, I am content with the illustrations. If I gave it more time, I could’ve given it better quality. Honestly, I’m kind of embarassed of the outcome.

But anyway, here it is.

“70 Million” by Hold Your Horses

Reposting this because as an art history buff, this is one of my favourite songs and music videos of all time.
Back in high school, when I took AP Art History, I could name all these works of art, the artists’ name, and the art movement in which they were created.

But now it’s just catch and fun to look at the work.
