I just don’t like the idea of a stranger looking at and poking around my body to abide by law, before someone I want to be poking around my body gets to. Probably tmi, but there you have it, kids. To generalize the word “rape” and use it in this context is the equivalent of saying being stared at by a group of men - or women - in an unwanted sexual way is rape. But to be fair, this rule does make women have to spread their legs for a man to insert something into her body by some form of force (in this instance, the force is the force of the law. See what I did there?) So by that, I’m not okay with this. Human bodies should not be penetrated in any way unless they are undoubtedly, 100% consenting and willing to, and do it by their own decision. Earlier in this pregnancy, I filled out my “Initial Health History” form for prenatal and birth care. You know: check the box if you’ve experienced severe headaches, diabetes, all sorts of things. After the usual “Emotional abuse,” “Physical abuse,” “Sexual abuse,” I got to this very interesting item: ”ANY unwanted/undesired physical or sexual contact.”
